The famous vocalist was born into the family of James and Mary McCartney on the 18th of June 1942, in Walton Hospital, Liverpool, England. As he would later become, his father was a musician while his mother, on the other hand, worked as a midwife/nurse at Walton Hospital, Liverpool. He has two siblings; a younger brother named Michael and an adopted sister named Ruth.

Paul McCartney attended two different schools on the quest of successfully completing his basic education, they include Stock Wood Road Primary School in Speke and Joseph Williams Junior School in Belle Vale. Sadly, at a very young age, when McCartney was 14, his mother passed on following mastectomy complications.

A few years after that, in 1957 to be exact, McCartney came in contact with John Lennon, who at that time was the leader of a popular music band named The Quarrymen. Thereafter, he joined the band as their rhythm guitarist before Harrison and Stuart Sutcliffe later joined and the band renamed itself The Beatles in 1960. Some of The Beatles most notable songs include “Love Me Do”, “Yesterday”, “She Loves You”, and “In My Life”. The group lasted for ten years before going their separate ways.

Paul McCartney went on to kick off his solo career and then later formed a musical group with his first wife Linda and Denny Laine called Wings. Throughout the years, his exceptional body of work and performance have been highly acclaimed with numerous awards and honors, including 18 Grammy Awards.

Paul McCartney has dated a long list of women, three of which he has married. He had his first love affair with Dot Rhone but unfortunately, the relationship packed up after two and a half years. He then followed it up by dating British actress Jane Asher for five years.

After dating for a while, they tied the knot and had four children; James, Mary, Stella, and Heather; Linda’s daughter whom McCartney adopted. Tragically, Linda passed away in 1998, having suffered from breast cancer.

This gave way for McCartney to marry his second wife; Heather Mills, an anti-landmine campaigner and former model. Mills gave birth to a baby girl named Beatrice Milly in 2003. Three years later, the couple went their separate ways. On 9th October 2011, McCartney exchanged marital vows again with his current wife, Nancy Shevell at Old Marylebone Town Hall, London.

Is He Dead?

Having been a target of an insidious rumor at a certain time in his life, its no surprise that people are still inquisitive to know whether the famous singer is still alive, especially seeing that his two former bandmates have passed away.

Well, Paul is still very much alive and well. In 1969, it was speculated that the famous singer died in a car accident in 1966 and was replaced by his former band with a lookalike. This story was later proven to be false as his family appeared on the cover of Life Magazine alongside him with the caption; Paul is still with us.
