London Perrantes Bio & Ethnicity
London Perrantes was born full name London Tyus Perrantes on the 3rd of October 1994 in Los Angeles, CA to Karina and London Perrantes Sr. London went to school at the Crespi Carmelite High School and he encountered and was coached by Russell White. While there, he volunteered for Hoops for Home and the Crespi Carmelite High School Impact Program.
London Perrantes played with players much older than himself while at high school and soon developed a signature calm and was quite deliberate in his play, setting him apart and putting him on the radar of Washington State football player Nico Grasu. Nico Grasu alerted the basketball coach of the university, Tony Bennett, to the potentials of the young player. Bennett was however soon hired by Virginia and London Perrantes decided to go to Virginia for Bennett but also for a superior level of academics and the Atlantic Coast Conference.
To go to Virginia, London Perrantes turned down an offer from USC especially after Kevin O’Neill was released as a coach. London actually played football as a freshman in 2009/2010 in the position of quarterback. He majored in African American and African Studies. He soon started playing basketball and as a senior, he was able to average 19.9 points and 5.8 assists per game.
The L.A Daily News named him Player of the Year and he was also ranked No. 86 on the ESPN’s Top 100 recruiting list for 2013. All these accolades were worth it considering that he helped Virginia Cavaliers men’s basketball team get to the NCAA Tournament’s Sweet 16 in his first season. It was the first time that the team had gotten so far in nineteen years. In that season he started thirty-three games and shot 44% from behind the arc. He was able to get 5.5 points with 3.8 assists per game.
By his senior year, he was announced to the 2nd Team All-Atlantic Coast Conference and ranked 2nd place in the top 100 college players beaten solely by Grayson Allen. London Perrantes, however, went undrafted in the 2017 NBA Draft and instead signed a summer league contract with Miami Heat. He followed that by being signed with the San Antonio Spurs on 23rd August 2017 but he was waived before the start of the season. It was then that London Perrantes signed a two-way contract with the Cleveland Cavaliers. With the contract, he splits his time up between playing for the Cavaliers and their NBA G League affiliate, the Canton Charge.
Who Are His Parents and Siblings
His parents, Karina and London Perrantes Sr. had three other sons; Isaiah, Darius and Malakia, all younger than London. London Perrantes Sr. and his wife have let their son embrace the world of basketball from a very young age. The two seem very proud of him despite seeing him very infrequently as he grew up to pursue his basketball dreams. His father who was his first coach has spoken with pride at the way his son has encountered quite a lot of things and has continued working hard even when things are not perfect.
How Tall Is He?
London Perrantes like most basketball players is blessed on the height side. He stands at six feet two inches and weighs 86kg. He certainly wields his gangly frame to the maximum on the basketball court in his guard position.
Does He Have A Girlfriend?
London Perrantes is not married. The basketball player is relatively young. He does, however, have a girlfriend named Summer Nicole who he has been in an open relationship with for almost five years now.
