Did You Know: 3 Ways To Become A Better Runner

Are you a runner?

Have you ever thought of building your sprint-power?

It is natural to want to improve your speed as a runner. Your body needs to be built for the speed you wish to attain. Instead of just pushing yourself to run faster, you can train your entire body to increase the speed of your turnover and your body’s work per distance ratio.

Let’s take a look at three exercises that are perfect for improving strength and ultimately building speed.

1. First you’ll need to get a solid box.

2. Place it in front of you and take a good stance, preferably
with legs about hip-width apart.

3. Bend backwards a little just like in the image above, then
leap onto the box. Make sure to land carefully.

4. Now, step back down.

Repeat steps 3 and 4 eight times in three sets.

1. Stand facing away from the box like in the image above.

2. Place the top of your left foot on the box about three feet
behind you.

3. Place both hands on your hips, then bend your right leg till
your left knee all-but touches the floor.

4. Stay in that position for about two seconds, then go back up.

PS: You can choose to take this exercise up a notch by holding dumbbells on both hands.

Repeat steps 3 and 4 eight times in two sets.

This is a pretty tricky exercise, so you’ll ned to get it right.
If you do this right, you should feel its effects along the back of your legs
and your glutes, not in your back.

Make sure your glutes and core are tight and straight.

Repeat steps 2 and 3 eight times in two sets.
