Literary works

  • Brolly, Shane (2003). You’d Think There Would Be More Suicides Around Here. Bleak House. ISBN 1932557016.  It garnered rave reviews from People Magazine and Venice Magazine to name a few.

Alex Simon of Venice Magazine wrote: “Shane Brolly attacks the Hypocrisy of Hollywood with the favor of a starving man who’s finally been given the best table at a gourmet restaurant. Spare, bullshit-free poetry about life, love and dreams that demands to be read and re-read.”

Steven Cojocaru of People Magazine wrote: “Shane Brolly is an immensely talented writer. These raw and potent poems come form the soul. Brolly gives the genre a real shot in the arm with poetry that’s as edgy and explosive as any of today’s stir-it-up rap artists. Quite simply a literary star is born.”

His latest book of poems, entitled The Ossuary is set for release in early 2015.

He has written two plays, The Closet Bastard and Joe the Plumber, which were performed at The Garage Theater. He has also written three screenplays, “The Chase”, “Drug Squad” and “Insane”, two of which have been optioned.
