Former Abuja Football College captain Yahaya Saleh has signed a year’s contract with seven-time Moldovan champions FC Zimbru after several weeks on trial.
The 21-year-old attacking midfielder told SCORENigeria he is thrilled with his first step in Europe.
“It’s a dream come true to sign my first professional contract in Europe,” Saleh said.
“My gratitude to Zimbru for the confidence they have in me and I hope to repay it.”
Zimbru, who now have new owners, have won the championship of Moldova seven times and the cup six times.
They are based in the country’s capital city Chisinau.
Saleh is expected to soon make his debut for his new team after they lost the season’s opener 1-0 at home against Dacia-Biuucani.
