Turkish Super Lig outfit, Yukatel Denizlispor has resolved the crisis that led to a war of words between the club and Super Eagles midfielder, Onazi Ogenyi.
Skorer reported on Sunday morning that the crisis erupted after the former Trabzonspor midfielder was left on the bench in club matches, coupled with the club financial crisis.
Irked by the club’s failure to offset backlog of unpaid salary and match bonuses, Onazi left camp and refused to return to training after 0-1 home loss to Gaziantep FK. The club management then stepped up action and embarked on a massive search for Onazi after his mobile could be reached.
Denizlispor later informed the police in the city and it was confirmed that Onazi was in Istanbul after his mobile phone was monitored by security operatives.
But latest report monitored in Turkey revealed that the club is in deep talk with Onazi with aggrieved party-ready mend fences.
Transferred from Trabzonspornin January, the 28-year-old player is not in good terms with coach Levent Kartop after he could only pick a starting shirt in 4 matches and came in as a substitute in other 4 games.
The experienced midfielder was in action for 4 minutes in Denizlispor’s 1-0 triumph over Gençlerbirliği. It was the match that turned out to be the last straw for Onazi.
Onazi was furious for playing for 4 minutes when he came in for Oguz in 86th minutes. He then left for Istanbul and cut off all communication with the club.
The former Lazio star is said to be fed up with life in Turkey and he is scouted by top European clubs in the summer.
