Terem Moffi takes Ligue 1 by storm, scores on winning debut

Just like he did in Belgium, Terem Moffi is again an instant hit in the French Ligue 1 after he scored on his debut and also caused a penalty for FC Lorient to achieve a 3-1 win at Stade Reims.

Moffi, 21, was an instant success in Belgium earlier this year leading to a record eight million Euros transfer to France.

The striker scored his team’s third goal after he caused the penalty for Lorient to net their second goal in the 65th minute.

He was a thorn in the flesh of the Reims defence for the 86 minutes he was on the pitch.

It was a massive comeback win for the visitors, who fell behind in the first period only to stage a commendable rally after the interval.

It was only the team’s second win of the season since the victory on the opening day and also their first win on the road.

Lorient have now climbed to 16th on the table with seven points from as many matches.
