Spanish midfielder Thiago Alcantara has agreed on personal terms with Liverpool ahead of a move from Bayern Munich, according to report in Germany.
Alcantara rejected an extension with Bayern Munich in a bid to actualize a move to join Liverpool at the end of the season.
The former Barcelona ace has played in Spain and Germany and he is interested in testing himself in the English top-flight in the next season.
Liverpool was beaten to the signing of RB Leipzig and they won’t let Alcantarta slip off their hands as they aim to strengthen their squad ahead of next season.
The report in Bild claim the midfielder has now agreed his contract with the Reds following Jurgen Klopp’s approval to go ahead with a deal, the German tactician feels Liverpool lack the creativity at the middle of the pack.
Alcantara is a versatile player that could be deployed as a midfield or as a box-to-box midfielder and he has the close control and skillset to match any midfielder in the world.
Liverpool are yet to agree on a fee with Bayern and the German giants are demanding £36m to part with the midfielder, the Premier League Champions valued Alcantara for £22m.
Bayern Munich has already spent big this summer, having signed Leroy Sane from Manchester City this summer.
