Sheffield United are weighing up a swap move for Rangers midfielder Glen Kamara.

The Sheffield Star says with new contract talks stalling, the Glaswegians are considering launching what has been described as an “audacious” bid to lure the 26-year-old north of the border.

But they will fear that could tempt United to resurrect their interest in Kamara – the Finland international, who was being monitored by Chris Wilder midway through last term.

With Scottish football’s precarious financial situation meaning Rangers are unlikely to be able to outbid teams from England’s top-flight, United officials would be prepared to consider Kamara in a swap if their manager instructs them to use the former Arsenal youngster as a makeweight.
