Man City not keen on Koulibaly despite Man United interest

Manchester City are not keen on signing Senegalese international Kalidou Koulibaly from Napoli despite the interest of Manchester United.

The 29-year-old defender has been heavily linked with a big-money switch to the Cityzens but after the arrival of Nathan Ake they are not willing to part with £90m for the defender.

However, Manchester United are desperate for a new left sided center back to help Captain Harry Maguire in the heart of defense.

Napoli are holding out for a world-record fee for a defender and according to the Manchester Evening News – Man City fear that sum could climb even higher if the Red devils also pursue him.

The Serie A club are in a strong bargaining position as they know how desperate Man United ready to sign a new top-class centre-back and City are not willing to commit after the signing of £40m Ake from relegated Bournemouth.
