Enyimba defender Ifeanyi Anamemena says they are yet to reach their full potential as the race for the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) title continues.
This is despite Enyimba moving into second position behind MFM FC in Group B of the NPFL standings following their 2-0 over Katsina United on Wednesday in Aba.
Anaemena, who scored Enyimba’s first in the Matchday 10 fixture, told the league’s official website that he is excited about the result, but admitted they are still work in progress.
“We are not there yet. We are still trying to stabilize,” Anamemena said.
“The major challenge is the integration of the new players to the main team, but I am happy with the progress made so far.
“Maybe we could have done better, but considering the hectic fixture and stress involved in travelling for games twice every week.
“makes it difficult for one to really ascertain the level of performance.”
Enyimba have won seven NPFL trophies and the last time they won the most coveted trophy in Nigeria was in 2015.
