Chelsea youngster Reece James is the Premier League’s best right-back, according to former Blues star Glen Johnson.

The 21-year-old has became a mainstay in Frank Lampard’s starting line-up this season, keeping captain Cesar Azpilicueta on the sidelines.

And Johnson, who played at right-back for the Blues, believes James is better than his peers, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

“I like Reece James, I like him a lot. Personally, I think he’s probably the best overall right-back there is [in the Premier League],” Johnson told Premier League Daily on Optus Sport.

“I think Trent is better going forwards and I think Wan-Bissaka is a better defender, but I think as a whole Reece James is up there.”
