Everton boss Carlo Ancelotti is in daily talks with directors about their summer market plans.

The Liverpool Echo says Ancelotti, who has already been working closely with Marcel Brands on recruitment ideas, talks with the rest of the club’s board over video conference each day.

But Ancelotti, Brands and the club’s hierarchy are now expected to meet face-to-face next week to hold a transfer summit as Everton try and inject quality into the squad between now and the start of October.

Last last week, Ancelotti said he was planning to meet with the board in the days after the season finished but he has been told that the summit will now take place next week, on a date yet to be confirmed.

Everton are targeting a centre-back, a central-midfielder and right-winger this summer. The Blues must also make a decision on their right-back situation with the future of Jonjoe Kenny still up in the air.
