Crystal Palace to raise funds in bid to sign Ismaila Sarr

English Premier League club Crystal Palace are reportedly desperate to sign Ismaila Sarr from Watford.

According to Mail Online, the Eagles have slapped an £8 million price tag on forward Christian Benteke as they aim to raise funds in a bid to lure Sarr away from the Hornets.

Sarr is valued at around £40 million by Watford who suffered relegation back to the Championship at the end of the 2019/20 season.

The 22-year-old moved to Vicarage Road from Stade Rennais in August last year and scored six goals in 30 appearances for the club in his debut season.

Liverpool have also been linked with the Senegal international who famously scored a brace in ending the Reds unbeaten run in the Premier League last season.

Sarr could be roped in by Palace as a direct replacement for Wilfried Zaha who continues to be linked with a move away from the South London club.
