Austrian Bundesliga side TSV Hartberg have bolstered their squad with the addition of another Nigerian youngster Kelvin Emmanuel Igbonekwu to their roster.
As reported by Score Nigeria on Sunday, TSV Hartberg already have former Golden Eaglets skipper Samson Tijani on their books before adding the 18-year old Igbonekwu who has a contract until winter.
FCNaija gathered Igbonekwu’s move to Hartberg was initially slowed down by travel documents but the Abuja-born forward has since settled as his new club where he hopes to launch himself into mainstream Europe.
Details of the transfer were not made known, but delighted officials described the player as having “extreme potentials”.
The Abuja-born Igbonekwu was on the matchday squad for his team’s Bundesliga game at home against LASK Saturday but did not get any minutes of action.
Igbonekwu’s compatriot Tijani who is on loan at Hartberg from another Austrian Bundesliga club, Red Bull Salzburg featured for the entire 90 minutes in Saturday’s league clash.
