Tottenham are facing a tough start to the season due to their Europa League commitments.

The London club are facing FC Lokomotiv Plovdiv in Bulgaria in the second qualifying round on September 17.

If they win that game, they will face Romania’s Botoşani or Macedonia’s Shkëndija in the next round.

These games are single legged, due to the tight season schedule.

The Premier League begins for Spurs on September 13, and the Carabao Cup starts soon after.

It will mean heavy squad rotation from boss Jose Mourinho to ensure his players do not burn out quickly.
