Southern Kaduna: Lawmakers raise alarm over allege planned attack, reveal hideouts of attackers

The Southern Kaduna caucus in the House of Representatives led by the Minority Whip of the house, Gideon Gwani, on Wednesday, claimed that armed militia are living in forest and hills in Kaduna State.

Gwani, who spoke on behalf of the lawmakers at a media briefing in Abuja, urged security personnel to go and arrest the armed militia from their camps.

He also called on the people of Southern Kaduna communities to be vigilant ahead of this year’s Eid-el-Fitri celebration coming up this weekend.

According to him, “it is important to note that we also have information that they are going to attack massively and coordinate in Southern Kaduna after the Sallah break.

“We are calling on our people to be vigilant. And we are asking them to do all they can to keep themselves alive.”

“What we need the security to do is to identify the flashpoints, the routes by which these attackers come into our communities and go into the forest.

“We believe strongly that we have armed militia living in the forest, living in the hills. The security personnel need to go there and comb the forests,” he stated.
