Buni urges Amaechi, Sylva to reconcile S’South APC

The Caretaker National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Governor Mai Mala Buni, on Monday, held a closed-door meeting with the Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi and Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Timipre Sylva at the party’s National Secretariat.

It was gathered that the meeting started at 1.17pm and ended around 2.10pm.

In a brief remark in response to a question by reporters about what transpired behind closed doors, Amaechi who spoke on behalf of the two said, “We have agreed that both of us will work together.”

It was gathered that the Chairman of the APC Caretaker/Extra-Ordinary National Convention Planning Committee, charged both men to work together and lead the party’s efforts to reconcile aggrieved party members in the South-South.

Speaking on the meeting, the Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the APC, Yekini Nabena said, “This indeed is another solid milestone in the achievement of the mandate given to the Governor Buni-led Caretaker/Extra-Ordinary National Convention Planning Committee to reconcile party members and reposition the party.”
