Kaduna Ex-Speaker, Gov. Makinde’s Special Adviser, Are Dead

 A former Speaker of the Kaduna State House of Assembly, Ahmed Hassan Jumare is dead.

Jumare died during a brief illness in Kaduna on Tuesday night.

He was Speaker of the House between 2012 and 2015.

A former Speaker and serving member of the House, Dr Aminu Shagali confirmed the news on Wednesday in a tweet, saying, “We regret to announce the demise of our former distinguished Honorable Speaker of the Kaduna State House of Assembly (2013-2015), Hon. Ahmad Hassan Jumare (Branco), who lost his life during an illness, May Almighty Allah forgive his shortcomings and grant him Paradise.”

Jumare, who led the state House of Assembly between 2012 and 2015, also served as Political Adviser to former Vice -President Namadi Sambo.

Meanwhile, the Special Adviser on Infrastructure to Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, Engineer James Adepoju, is dead.

Adepoju died on Wednesday from an undisclosed ailment.

Chief Press Secretary to the state Governor, Taiwo Adisa confirmed the death.

Adepoju, until his appointment as Makinde’s aide in March 2020, was the Engineering Head of Prize Engineering Consultants Limited.

A graduate of Civil Engineering from the University of Ibadan, Adepoju was involved in several projects, including providing engineering consultancy services on the construction of Igbeti-Ogbomoso Road; Oshodi Transport Interchange; reconstruction/upgrading of Oshodi-Murtala Muhammed International Airport Road; Oshodi-Abule Egba Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) project and VGC Flood Control Project, among others.
