Responsibilities

  • Seek out, identify and collect breaking news and trending topic, send daily push notification based on user behavior and location
  • Find, write, edit and post good contents including articles and short videos to maintain a steady flow of high-quality content for feeds in Phoenix Browser
  • Review performance of push notifications and feeds, analyze social media trends and user behavior, then share findings with the teams to aid in content strategy decisions
  • Familiar with local and worldwide content providers including media agencies, bloggers, KOL, YouTubers, be able to give suggestions on content partnership

Job Requirements
You should be:

  • University graduate, Relevant degree (English, Marketing, Journalism and Communication, etc.) is a plus
  • Good knowledge of English and Swahili
  • Passionate about social media, sensitive to trends, familiar with young people’s language and culture, familiar with recent news around Africa and the world
  • Good at writing headlines based on user interest
  • Two or more years of experience in the content industry such as news editor, content writer, video editor and blogger are preferred
  • Strong ownership and positivity, fast-learning ability and good communication skill with different people
